Super Bowl Weekend?
So sorry for being MIA the past week, Alex was renewing her domain, but all is well and I am back and running. Nothing too new to report... I talked to my mom the other day and I guess Annie went in for her x-rays and the vet said she is going to have 8 or more puppies (how cute). And I guess the Super bowl is this weekend, and I don’t like either of the teams playing so I decided to be in charge of all the appetizers for my boyfriend’s party. That’s code for sitting in my friend Gina’s kitchen drinking wine and cooking (and eating) :D As far as art goes I am starting to make a lot of new printmaking stuff for class so my deviantart will be constantly updated. I also jumped on the bandwagon and started making clay charm paperclips. They are on sale in my etsy shop. I doubt anyone would ever want to buy one, but I thought it would be fun to have an etsy account. As soon as I am done applying for the BFA in my art school I might even start selling some of my prints on etsy!

Puppy Love
So for those who know me in the “real world” this post wont come as a shock, just because I obsess over this: “I AM GETTING A PUPPY!” Yep, that’s right! I am finally at the age where I can afford one, and I am so excited. My Aunt breeds golden retriever puppies, and I am going to fly down to Kansas to go pick her up in less then two months!!! The pups will be born in Feb. and she will be coming home to me in late April. I have already picked out her name and everything: Addison. And just the other day I bought Addison’s new pink and brown polka-dot leash and collar.
Also I have added a bit more content, if you check out the adoptable page you will see five new pixels, and I made a new link as well. I hope to redo all my links being that they are horribly outdated. So yep- check it out! Oh… and stay warm (its so cold in Colorado today).

I am FINALLY open!
*sounds trumpets* Welcome to the grand opening of kalaelou! I must say that I am overly excited to open up my site again. There are still some kinks here and there to sort out…and loads more content to be added, but that will all come with time. And this is my FIRST layout I coded and put up all by myself (is proud). The html challenged girl is finally learning to code- haha. It probably helps that I have dreamweaver and a fancy new computer to do the hard work. Since the last time my site was around a lot has changed. I live in a new apartment with new roommates and like I said I have a new cool computer: (that’s right you..you can oo and ahh at its magnificence.
So about this new layout, not sure that I like it that much, so it probably wont be up that long…but we will see. And for those who don’t understand it, the theme is bubble-gum blowing clown fish. On a side note I recently made my first CG…and I am hoping I can become skilled enough to make my next layout a CG one. But what am I kidding, lets not talk to far in the future here ;)
Also I am applying for a higher degree in my art school within the next couple weeks (major stress)… so you will probably be hearing about that progress as I go. I am doing my thesis on viruses and their hosts. Sounds weird, because it is! If you want to check out some of my non-computer artwork, check out my deviantart. I am really into printmaking, and might even be giving away some of my prints, which make great gifts and wall decorations.
And because I have been so surrounded by art recently my mother bought me the cutest little apron for wearing around the studio:
